Why Do We Need to Learn?

Whole Brain Learning System (revisited) Seminar helped me a lot in learning not only how do students learn but also, I was able to learn how to understand one's self. Professor Manikan taught us various ways how to deal with different scenarios, interpret symbols and enjoy thinking.

As I reflect on professor's question, "Why does brain need to learn?", I came up on the idea that, "brain has to learn so that a man can know his purpose in life".  However, I realized that learning is not as simple as eating a food, but learning is searching for the reason why do we eat food.

In connection to real-life situation, people who have good brain give a good judgement but those people who don't think critically and think quickly, make negative responses towards situations.

How do we have an intelligent thinking? I learned that having positive emotion enhances better learning. When a person is happy, a body produces lots of endorphin; the more endorphin the body has, the more the person learns easily. Thus, the people who are passionate, are the fastest learners.

Contrary to the said ideas, having negative emotion, inhibits learning. Yet, we have the power of choice. It is upon our thoughts and emotions that affect our well being.

It is our body that tells our life's history. To balance Positive and Negative thinking, we should exercise our brain through setting our minds and having self awareness.

By being aware, we can able to manage different things therefore, we can able to have a good social skills. In mastering the learning to think, do, communicate, feel, intuit, lead and learning to be, we can reach the high standard of ourselves. We can make it happen, if we just learn, unlearn and relearn.

And if I were to be asked again "Why does a brain need to learn?", simply because we need to feel good, we need to satisfy our souls and we need to enhance the chances of our survival.
