Religiously Dos and Don'ts at School
(We, as Christian students)
"No disciple is superior to the teacher; but when fully trained, every disciple will be like his teacher." -Luke 6:40
Dos
1. Always ask for guidance- in everything you do, always ask for the Holy Spirit to be *smart in everyhting you do and in every decision you make. (*Smart means- specific, measurable, attainable, reliable and time-bound)
2. Bring your bible- you do have the freedom as a christian student to voluntarily bring your Bible to school and read it during free-time periods.
3. Talk about Jesus with friends!- You also have the right to read, study and discuss the Bible with friends—so long as the activities are voluntarily led by students and done in a way that is not disruptive of instruction or class time. That means you have the freedom to lead discussions about the Bible during free periods like the lunch hour, breaks between classes or during student-led meetings before and after class.
4. Remember that you have the freedom to use your Bible as a resource or quote from it for a homework assignment—so long as it is relevant to the subject the teacher would like for you to address and meets the requirements of the assignment.
5. Invite your friends to a prayer or prayer gathering- it is nice to have friends with the same faith. Let's invite our friends closer to God, and let them serve as our support team in times of sadness or happiness maybe.
6. Be respectful. Remember: It’s extremely important to remain courteous, even when you meet obstacles or challenges from others. If a principal or teacher, or someone else in authority asks you to stop participating in Bring Your Bible to School Day activities or to stop distributing event materials before and after class, graciously request that they check with a supervisor first and explain their reason for asking you to stop.
Also, be aware that we all don't have the same religion. Let us respect our friends who have different views and opinion about their God and whatever community they belong to. Just love and be a christian anyway.
7. Bring Christ and Be Christ like wherever we are- it is not the people who will let us enter in the Kingdom of heaven, but Jesus. Let us spread His words and act His words. Being a christian is not easy, we are always persecuted. But having Christ and being Christ wherever we are will glorify the name of the Lord and may inspire a lot of people. We become the best version of ourselves.
Don'ts
1. Don't be pushy or coercive with other students. You do not have the right to force other students to listen to you or harass them. But you can invite them to voluntarily participate in your activities. Remember—this is about conversations, not confrontations! Always respect them and what they feel.
2. Don't be intimidated. Remember, as a student you have the right to express your personal religious beliefs.
3. Don't disrupt classroom lectures and activities. It is extremely important that you open conversation during breaks, lunch hours or before or after school. DO NOT talk about your faith or religion during class time or be late to class (or cause others to be late) as result of your participation.
4. Don't make anything that may harm you or put you into trouble.- always be religiously honest for everything you do. You know that cheating is one of the temptations of the students. But if you have Christ in your heart, you will be able to finish your tasks peacefully. Surrender everything to God and do your part as a student.

Prayer for students
Loving Father, I stand before You in the midst of confusion and complexities of life. My future sometimes seems distant and unknown. Give me, O Lord, the vision to see the path You set before me. Grant me the courage to follow Your way, that through the gifts and talents You have given me, I may bring Your life and Your love to others. I ask this through Jesus, Your Son and my Brother.
Amen
